I can’t imagine myself wearing this Urwerk UR103T timepiece what with its rotating satellites featuring the hours. If you take a closer look you will realize that the hour is indicated digitally while the minutes indicated analogically. Quite a variety I should say.
The designers of this watch were faced with several challenges including how to prevent energy waste by minimizing friction. Another challenge was how to ensure the rotating satellites’ ideal balance.
Thanks to Urwerk cofounder and master watchmaker Felix Baumgartner who made use of aluminum for the satellites the Urwerk UR103T is not only light but stronger as well. The materials inside this watch are not only characterized by lightness but they also have non-magnetic and non-corrosive qualities.
Look at the back of the timepiece and you will find the titanium-crafted wristwatch dashboard. This Control Board has fine tuning screws to adjust the movement, 15-minute and second dials for precise time-setting and a 43-hour power reserve indicator.
What I like about the Urwerk UR103T’s three-dimensional case is the colors options of grey gold and red gold and the alligator leather strap.
