Dr. Owen Garriott, a NASA astronaut, wore a Seiko watch in his two flights in 1973 and 1983 and remained 72 days in space. Just this October, his son named Richard Garriott also wore a Seiko watch in his private space exploration. This Spring Drive is customized to meet the needs in outer space. The watch is created with air tight case to endure the vacuum pressure present in the space environment.
