The Black Stallion inside the golden yellow seal has always been identified with fast cars and excitement. This time though the excitement will be brought to you not in the form of a speeding auto but in the form of a watch.
The Officine Panerai Ferrari Chronograph DLC watch is a great addition to the growing number of chronograph watches from Ferrari. This is a limited edition watch with a special DLC-coated case measuring 45 mm.
If you like black and red then this watch is a great sampler since it has a menacing deep-black case and a matching natural black rubber strap of course with the infamous Ferrari logo. The case is not only for fashion purposes though but it also protects the watch from scratches.
Inside the watch is a totally black dial but this time you get a hint of color with the red sub-dials and the large Arabic numbers. The sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock looks like a meter gauge or indicator you usually find inside an auto.
Your eyes couldn’t help but linger at the huge Ferrari logo at 12 o’clock but if you know cars then you would not miss the silhouette of a Formula 1 car at 6 o’clock. Another thing to watch out for is the Prancing Horse logo in the winding rotor.
The Officine Panerai Ferrari Chronograph DLC watch has an Automatic Panerai OP XII Calibre movement decorated with Cotes de Geneve. It has a selling price of at least $15,000.
