Tradition is usually not lost because it is linked to the future as proven by the IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph watch. It has a rose gold or platinum stainless steel case with sapphire crystal in the transparent caseback.
The gold version is worth $40,000 while the platinum version is worth $70,000. It has a Caliber 89360 movement with Chronograph and date complications with the latter found at 6 o’clock.
The watch has a black dial and comes with a brown alligator leather strap with a folding clasp. This timepiece boasts of the flyback function and comes with a tachymeter scale. It is water-resistant only up to 12 bar.
The Ingenieur watches were the first self-winding timepieces from IWC and have been known for its clean and simple design for three generations now. The watch however became bigger and duller after was turned over to Gerald Genta who was formerly connected with Audemars Piguet.
The IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph is a mojo-filled watch that’s best worn by those who are confident enough about their masculinity not to be intimidated by its boldness and brashness.
