We have been brought up under the belief that watches tell the time through Arabic or Roman numerals, or those time indexes. However, all those stock knowledge have been shattered by just looking at this watch which seems to defy tradition.
We are talking about the Hermes H au Galop watch which is no doubt a beauty and an epitome of high class fashion, but which is far from the traditional watches that we grew up with. The watch gets inspiration from the gentle life pace of Cape Cod and this is evident in the design of the watch.
This watch looks like the Bali Barret-designed Hermes silk scarf, with a subtle but daring graphic design. The watch was hand-crafted, and the miniature painting done by Swiss artist Anita Porchet.
The Hermes H au Galop watch comes in a white gold case measuring 36 x 37mm, with a matte black alligator Hermes strap with a white gold folding safety clasp. The watch is powered by a Calibre H1928 mechanical self-winding movement with 28,800 vibrations per hour, 32 jewels and 196 components, and protected by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal on both sides.
