Doxa’s 120th Anniversary is immortalized with the release of this model watch. While you would expect an anniversary watch to be more complicated, the Doxa Chateau des Monts 120th Anniversary Model watch is far from that since it comes with a very simple design and curves.
There are even some misgivings about this being Doxa’s 120th year watch since the brand itself was registered only in 1910, making it only 89 years in existence. The base year could have been 1889 when his very first watch repair workshop was opened by Doxa founding father Georges Ducommun.
The Doxa Chateau des Monts 120th Anniversary Model watch has almost the same style as the 1920s Locle series models, except that the seconds dial in this watch is located 9 o’clock
The watch is styled like the Locle series models produced in the 1920s. Although those vintage watches usually had their small seconds dials placed at the 6 o’clock, this particular watch has the dial located at the 9 o’clock.
The Doxa Chateau des Monts 120th Anniversary Model watch comes in a stainless steel case, with a transparent caseback protected by sapphire crystal. The watch is adorned by a black or brown leather bracelet with a buckle.
This timepiece is powered by the hand-wound Unitas movement. You can opt for the white or ivory and black dial. The dial sports Arabic numerals that are big enough to show you the time easily.
