A watch that is made and marketed as the brand’s Centennial Edition, will most probably have all the characteristics of an amazing watch. Take a look at the Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition watch, which is being released as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the popular car brand.
It is common knowledge that most Audi cars are highly price, if not overpriced, and this watch follows that scenario. While deemed to be an improvement from the previous silvered dial Chronoswiss Chronoscope, there is actually nothing mind-boggling about this Audi edition.
The Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition watch comes in a white-gold or platinum case measuring 38mm wide, with a transparent caseback, and a black alligator strap with a folding clasp. The simple white dial sports a Chronograph complication, but we were disappointed about not having any numeral on the face of the watch itself to show the time. You will however find the vertically aligned hour at 12 o’clock and the seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the Enicar 165 Calbre C 125 movement, with up to 35 hours of power reserve, and protected by sapphire crystal. It sports very simple numerals and hands, and the overall effect of the watch is that of a sophisticated pressure gauge, which does not prioritize its time-telling features.
